Hardly used hands free car kit for Nokia 5100 and 6100 series wireless phones. Install is a snap. Give great reception and increased signal strength. A must to have with all the new "hands-free" cell phone laws being passed. I'll even throw in two used Nokia 6160 phones. One has a broken display, but could be used for parts.

The Nokia 5100 and 6100 series phones use the Complete Car Kit CARK-91US. This Car Kit offers a convenient handsfree option, automatic charging facility, improved transmission capacity with optional external antenna, car radio mute, and an ignition sense connection to your car antenna motor control. The CARK-91 Car Kit contains:

AAC-1 RF Adapter (FME to mini-UHF) MCC-1 Advanced Cradle HHS-9 Swivel Mount HFU-2 Junction Box MKU-1 Mounting Plate HFM-8 Handsfree Microphone HFS-12 External Handsfree Speaker PCH-4J Power Cable HSU-1 Privacy Handset Kit - Optional (not included-CARK-91US, included-CARK-91H) The HSU-1 Privacy Handset is an optional accessory that can be added to allow for private conversations. The Privacy Handset is a simple handset with no display or keypad. The Privacy Handset is included in the CARK-91H car kit option. Please note that the Privacy Handset option is the only difference between the CARK-91US and the CARK-91H. Please do not use the handset while in motion, as both hands are needed for safe driving. Antenna considerations: The car kit allows for the connection of an external antenna. However, Nokia does not provide external antennas for the car kit due to the number of different types and applications. Please contact your local cellular dealer for the type of external antenna that will best support the system and terrain in your area. Please note that dual band antennas are capable of connecting either to 800 Mega Hertz (MHz) systems or 1900 MHz systems. If your phone can be operated in both 800 MHz and 1900 MHz frequencies, then a dual band antenna is needed. The adapter interface that is provided is an FME connector to a mini UHF antenna.

Ignition Sense The ignition-controlled switch on/off allows the phone to be automatically switched on or off whenever the vehicle is started or switched off, respectively. When the ignition is turned off, the message SWITCHING OFF is displayed. The phone switches off in 20 seconds unless you press any key or take the phone from the holder during this time. Ignition sense is a non-user-selectable feature. It is always enabled when the Ignition Sense line is connected. Ask your dealer to connect your phone to the vehicle's electrical system. If the Ignition Sense is not connected, the phone will switch off in 12 hours when left in the cradle.

Car Radio Mute This feature mutes the car radio during a phone call. It is not a user-selectable feature. It is always enabled when Car Radio Mute is connected. Ask your dealer to connect the phone to the vehicle's electrical system. Please note that the Car Radio Mute option might not interface with certain OEM and Aftermarket car stereos due to differing electronics.

Installation should be done by qualified personnel only to secure safe and efficient equipment and wiring. Please note that the terms of warranty require that the car kit be installed by an experienced installation facility. An end user should never attempt to install the car kit without professional assistance as the installation requires special tools and knowledge. Electronic fuel injection systems, electronic cruise control systems, and other electronic systems can malfunction due to the lack of protection from radio signals. Please check with your local retail store or your service provider for professional installation facilities in your area.
